HIV Support Program
In 2007, CFP piloted an HIV Support Program to help those in La Chureca area of Managua, Nicaragua who have become infected with HIV/AIDS by providing vitamins, supplements and milk.
Residents of La Chureca, Latin America’s largest dumpsite community, rummage through the garbage to find recyclable items to sell to meet their daily needs.
Unsuspecting workers often prick themselves with HIV contaminated syringe needles or cut themselves while handling recyclable items contaminated with HIV.

Vitamins and supplements are proven to be important nutritional aids in preventing the onset of secondary symptoms of HIV. Since its inception, the CFP HIV Support Program has grown to serve more than 105 young people from La Chureca and surrounding areas.
We continually provide a three-month supply of vitamins to residents who depend on these supplements to boost their immune systems as well as providing milk supplies.
Please support this valuable program with your donation.
